Tributes to Lidia from Elliswick Lawn Tennis Club Members

Created by Gemma one year ago
Jim McGown - Club President:
Lidia fought a battle with cancer for a long time. However, given her indomitable spirits she carried on playing her beloved tennis until the end. Lidia was known by many members of the club as a friendly, helpful, and cheerful character and she will be sorely missed.

She's pulled through so many times, I thought she was immortal! I was really shocked when I read the message this morning. I'm sure played with her only about 3 weeks ago. So good that she was able to enjoy her first granddaughter for the last few months. She was besotted - and told me she's never expected to live to see any grandchildren.

Andree Haxton:
Sleep well Lidia. Rest in peace. I will miss your sweet smile. XXX
